SEAN BEAN (Spence) studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he received the Silver Medal for his performance in Waiting For Godot. He played Romeo in Romeo and Juliet in the Royal Shakespeare Company. Bean's other theater credits include productions of Fair Maid of the West (directed by Trevor Nunn) and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
He made his feature film debut in 1986 in Derek Jarman's Caravaggio, going on to appear in such films as Mike Figgis's Stormy Monday, Jim Sheridan's The Field, Phillip Noyce's Patriot Games, Caroline Thompson's Black Beauty and the James Bond adventure GoldenEye. Bean's most recent feature films are When Saturday Comes in 1996 and Anna Karenina in 1997.
In addition to his work on the stage and in motion pictures, Bean has worked extensively in both British and American television.
