AMIR MOKRI (Director of Photography) most recently photographed "Salton Sea," starring Val Kilmer, directed by D.J. Caruso. Among his other credits are "Coyote Ugly," "Eye for an Eye," "Joy Luck Club," "Freejack," "Queens Logic," "Whore," "Blue Steel," "Life Is Cheap…But Toilet Paper Is Expensive," "Pacific Heights," "Eat a Bowl of Tea" and "Slamdance."

Born in Tehran, Iran, Mokri emigrated to the United States at age twenty-one to study film at Emerson College and Boston University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He continued his studies in Los Angeles, obtaining his Master of Fine Arts from the American Film Institute, majoring in cinematography. After working on commercials, he landed his first feature film in 1984, "Slamdance," directed by Wayne Wang.
