Hurricane halts filming of Troy
From correspondents in Los Cabos, Mexico
WARNER Bros has called off the filming of Helen of Troy after its sets in
Mexico's Baja California peninsula were destroyed by Hurricane Marty,
the company said today.
The $US200 million ($294.85 million) production is to star Brad Pitt.
The cyclone also toppled housing for the nearly 1,000 extras, who are
already in Mexico. Many of the actors, most of whom were hired in
Bulgaria, are now living in shelters along the Pacific peninsula.
Sources close to the production said that filming was likely to begin in
the first half of October.
