Troy equipment, 200,000kg in all, airlifted to Mexico
Staff Reporter

Malta International Airport was full of activity during the past few days
handling 201,500 kg of cargo consisting of equipment used for the film Troy.

Two Antonov 124 and an Antonov 12 aircraft were chartered to carry all
equipment and film props while a British Airways Boeing 747 aircraft carried
all members of the crew to Mexico, where the filming of Troy will now
continue.

Malta International Airport efficiently handled the whole operation, in
close collaboration with Thomas Smith & Co Ltd, the official handling
company of the film here in Malta.
