An India brown cobra with hood extended in 'pre-bite attack-mode' … don't ever mess with these reptiles if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

The author wearing forty pounds of Indian python : half of the snake is hanging down my back - as long as you control the head and tail, the snake can't get a grip anywhere to be able to strangle you.

The medical advice - along with wearing long trousers and apply a liberal application of sun-bloc and insect repellent - was during filming to drink three litres of cold water each day : at one point the storage room at my hotel held 5000 half-litre plastic bottles of water to cover a fortnights' worth of filming with a back-up supply stored elsewhere - I calculated we used enough water in ten weeks to float HMS Victory.
