the next three Christmas seasons - to bring life to Tolkien's
world of hobbits, trolls,
elves, monsters and wizards.

a number of events throughout the Cannes festival, including reconstructing

Magical Ring
Director Peter Jackson said: "I think
there is a huge amount of scepticism about the risks of doing
three
movies back-to-back, so this will be a primer to whet (everyone's)
appetite."
The first part of the trilogy, which chronicles
the struggle between good and evil for the possession of a
magical ring, will be "The Fellowship of the Ring."
