ITV's Tudor triumph
What a television treat! The second half of Henry VIII was every bit
as spellbinding as the first. The two parts of this towering drama
were terrific — the best double act on ITV1 since Morecambe And Wise.

Sean Bean was excellent as brave, principled Robert Aske, who stood
up to the monarch over his brutal dissolution of the Catholic
Church. And the size and spectacle of the production was staggering.

But most of all Henry was a triumph for actor Ray Winstone
who grew physically and dramatically into the role of a lifetime.
Brilliant.
