Michael Douglas is in final negotiations to star in the action thriller Don't Say a Word for New Regency Pictures.

The project, to be produced by Anne and Arnold Kopelson, is scheduled to begin principal shooting in
November.

The story is about a psychiatrist whose daughter is kidnapped. Andrew Klavan adapted the script from his Edgar Award-winning novel of the same name.

Douglas, who most recently appeared in Wonder Boys, will appear in two films this fall, Traffic, and One Night at McCool's.
