Actor Sean Bean joined the regulars at The Rising Sun pub, on
Saturday, to receive a donation of £700 for the North London Hospice.
The Rising Sun's customers raised the money through raffles and
donations to continue their recent fundraising efforts for local
charities. Last week, they raised more than £400 for E-coli survivor
Tom Dowling.
Sean, who lives near the Mill Hill pub, was happy to stay for a drink
with the fundraisers and Pauline Treen, fundraising co-ordinator of
the North London Hospice.
Carmel Reilly, manageress of the Rising Sun, said: "We like to
support local causes and we feel that the North London Hospice is an
excellent charity."
